Collapse ▲Would your child or teen like to have a pen pal? Residents in assisted living facilities are lonely because of the restrictions with COVID-19. And 4-H members’ lives will be enriched by developing relationships with elderly residents. Carolina Reserve of Hendersonville is excited about joining in this program, with its residents corresponding with 4-H members. Participants are asked to mail two letters, drawings, puzzles, or other items to his or her pen pal by December 15.
See the Pen Pal packet for information, with hard copies of registration forms. There are two forms to sign, one for the parent and one for the child/ teen. Or participants may complete the forms online below.
Young people, ages 5-18, sign up to be a pen pal.
Parents, please complete the Pen Pal Permission Form for parents.
We plan to evaluate the pen pal program by December 18, 2020, and decide whether or not to continue. Contact Denise with questions.
