Collapse ▲The Henderson County Beekeepers Association (HCBA) is pleased to announce their 2024 Bee School held in cooperation with Henderson County Cooperative Extension. This is one of this region’s most extensive beekeeping courses consisting of seven classroom sessions and several associated sessions offered at the Bee Club’s local apiary.
The class features over a dozen instructors from around the southeast. The course objective is to prepare attendees to successfully care for their own bees during the first year of beekeeping. The fee for the class is $75 and includes a textbook, course materials and one year Family membership in HCBA.
Those completing the class and planning to become spring 2024 beekeepers are encouraged to take advantage of HCBAs unique mentor program. Mentors make themselves available to ‘hands on’ support and coach those completing this course during the critical first year of beekeeping.
The class is held every Monday evening for seven weeks beginning January 8, 2024 from 7 to 9 p.m. Classes are held at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Henderson County Center at 100 Jackson Park Road, Hendersonville. The course will also be offered remotely on Zoom for those that cannot attend or may want to join from outside the county. For more information, click the link below.
