I recently had the wonderful opportunity to meet many of y’all at the N.C. Mountain State Fair and share a little bit about what the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) does.

If you stopped by my table, you heard that we provide FREE cooking and nutrition classes for youth, adults, and families. Each series includes approximately (6-8) 30-60 minutes classes covering a wide range of nutrition-related topics. These classes come with great lessons, food, activities, and even some free gifts!

Some of these classes are hosted at our office in Jackson Park, but there are so many other areas where they could be provided! If your school, community, church, or other organization would be interested in hosting an EFNEP series, please contact me at: bjtanker@ncsu.edu or 828.697.4891.
