In an effort to combat the spread of invasive species, the Hendersonville Tree Board and NC State University are sponsoring the Bradford Pear Bounty.

This exchange is free and open to residents of Henderson County. Pre-registration is required and proof of residency will be requested upon arrival at the pick-up site.

  • Saturday, April 12th, from 9-11 a.m.
  • City Of Hendersonville Operations Center at 305 Williams Street.
  • You may receive up to five free trees total (one per tree that has been cut down).
    • A picture of the Bradford Pear trees you cut down must be shown to organizers at the pick-up to receive a replacement native tree.
    •  Most trees will come in 3 gallon pots, but may vary based on nursery availability. 
  • You must complete the registration section to secure your spot at the event here: NC Bradford Pear Bounty Tree Exchange Reservation Form
    • Registration does not guarantee you will receive a tree. So come early!
    • Please review the Tree Owner’s Manual prior to completing this form.
