Collapse ▲The Henderson County 4-H Cloverbuds Club is back with an exciting lineup of fall programs designed for youth ages 5-7. This special interest 4-H program offers a fun and hands-on introduction to 4-H, focusing on agriculture, STEM, healthy living, and civic engagement. Each meeting is packed with fun games, creative crafts, and mini-lessons that spark curiosity and explore new topics!
Fall 2024 Program Highlights:
October 8th – Nocturnal Animals – Get into the Halloween spirit by discovering the hidden world of nocturnal animals. Cloverbuds will explore the differences between diurnal and nocturnal creatures, enhance their understanding of the five senses, and play themed games.
October 22nd – Halloween Pumpkin Painting – What’s Halloween without pumpkins? In this session, Cloverbuds will learn about pumpkins and their role in agriculture. Then, they’ll get creative by painting their very own mini pumpkins to take home!
November 5th – Fall Leaves – Why do leaves change color in the fall? Let’s find out together! Cloverbuds will go on a leaf hunt, exploring beautiful colors, and create a DIY Leaf Journal.
November 19th – Turkey Time! – As Thanksgiving approaches, we’ll focus on the star of the holiday: the turkey! Cloverbuds will craft handprint turkeys and participate in a “What I’m Thankful For” activity.

When: Two Tuesdays a month, 4:00-5:00 p.m.
Where: N.C. Cooperative Extension, Henderson County Center
Cost: $10 per participant for supplies
