Collapse ▲4-H is excited to “bee” partnering with volunteers Jim Poe and Pat Roe (previous Bee Association Board members) to begin the Honeybee 4-H Club in January 2024!
4-H is a youth development program where youth “learn by doing” and have fun doing it! 4-H projects, such as beekeeping, are designed to teach life skills that last a lifetime. This includes integrating public speaking skills, goal setting and accomplishment, and service engagement through community service.
By joining this 4-H Club youth will learn about bees and how to be a beekeeper. Beekeeping offers many hands-on educational experiences, from learning about bees and nectar to learning to raise bees and produce honey!
4-H is a program for youth ages 5-18! However, due to some project work and information we encourage youth to be at least 9 years old to be an active member in the Club.
Do you have questions such as cost, time commitment, location etc.? All your questions will be answered at the information meeting on
Tuesday, January 23, at 4:00 p.m.! *Location provided on Google form submission*
Click here to register for the Honeybee 4-H Club Information meeting!
Youth are encouraged to attend with their parents! Attending this meeting does not determine continuation but will provide answers to Club specifics. We are bee-yond excited to meet you!
