Join Henderson County 4-H and “learn by doing” during our Library 4-H Discovery Series!

Each month, Henderson County 4-H will be hosting an hour-long program at the Edneyville, Green River, and Etowah Library branches to highlight a different aspect of 4-H. Programs will include topics in agriculture, civic engagement, healthy living, and science. Come learn about all the opportunities 4-H has to offer!

Edneyville Branch

April  29th @ 4 p.m. – 4-H Intro to Gardening

Join Henderson County 4-H at the Edneyville Library to grow your knowledge about plants! During this program, participants will learn about the life cycle of a plant, discover what plants need to survive, and take home their own plant to nurture. 

Green River Branch

March 18th @ 4:30 p.m. -4-H Rabbit Lesson

Join Henderson County 4-H at the Green River Library to learn all about Rabbits! During this program a current 4-Her will do a demonstration on Rabbits and introduce participants to the livestock showing and raising opportunities available through 4-H.

Etowah Branch

April 10th @ 3 p.m. – Healthy Living – Intro to Sewing

Join Henderson County 4-H at the Green River Library to learn the basics of sewing. During this one hour workshop participants will learn how to thread a sewing machine, read a basic pattern, and create a simple project! Sewing machines and materials will be provided. Open to youth ages 8-18.
