4-H'ers pose with ribbons and plaques.

Three quiet but mighty Henderson County 4-H members traveled to Raleigh this week and competed for 3 days in quiz bowl, skillathon, and livestock judging. They have worked so hard over the last 5 months practicing every week and have learned a lot.

A few of their awards included-

Molly Cowan-
3rd individual in the state for sheep placings.
5th individual in the state for oral reasons.
6th overall individual in the state for the Junior division in livestock judging.

Zane Capps-
4th individual in the state for cattle placings.
3rd individual in the state for swine placings.
2nd individual in the state for oral reasons.
2nd (tied for first) overall individual in the state for the Junior division in livestock judging.

Abby Baldwin-
2nd individual in the state for meat goat placings.
3rd in the state for ID / Written test in skillathon.
3rd overall individual in the state for the Junior division in skillathon.
Their accomplishments are more than are listed here and reach far beyond their placings. We are so incredibly proud of these 4-H members!
