Collapse ▲Get Your Local Henderson County Strawberries!
Henderson County growers started picking ‘Ruby June’ strawberries over a week ago and this week ‘Chandler’ berries are really starting to come in. Strawberries are the first fruit to ripen in the spring and nothing compares to a field ripe berry picked fresh from the farm. June-bearing strawberry season only last about 6 weeks and it is your one chance to buy freshly picked strawberries packed with sugar and flavor. Once strawberries are picked they stop ripening so often times store-bought berries that have been transported long distances lack that sweet strawberry flavor we crave. You too can find that ripe strawberry flavor we all long for locally at the following farms.
