Grower Training on December 16, 2021, at the New Produce Handling Facility at the Mountain Horticultural Crops Research and Extension Center in Mills River, NC.
The PSA training provides an overview of the Food Safety Modernization Act, Produce Safety Rule and it can help you understand the practices that help minimize the risks of foodborne illness at all produce farms (large and small).
If you are a produce farmer and would like to know if this class is mandatory for you based on the Produce Safety Rule, see the Determine Where Your Farm Falls Under the PSR? page. Before you register, please realize that only participants who attend all the sessions, actively participated in the activities and complete evaluations will receive a certificate for this class.
