Congratulations to all the participants in the WNC Livestock Expo, September 12–20, 2020! Showing livestock is a lot of work, but wearing a mask, social distancing, and lots of safety precautions make it harder. Henderson County 4-H boasted winners in many categories, but the Barnyard Bandits 4-H Club Poultry Group stole the Poultry Show!

Champion Standard – Beulah Crain
Reserve Champion Standard – Airely Hart
Champion Guinea – Mason Perry
Champion Bantam – Avery Bartley
Reserve Champion Bantam – Silas Bartley
Champion and Reserve Champion Ducks – Madilynn Miller

Reserve Grand Champion PeeWee Broilers – Benjamin Gaddy (who also won many sheep awards)
Grand Champion Youth Broiler – Gabriella Baldwin

Molly Cowan won First Place in Junior Showmanship with her Dairy Steer and Reserve Champion Medium Wool with her sheep. Haley Hargus earned many awards with her Border Leicester Sheep.

Recordings of the livestock shows may be viewed on the Mountain State Fair Livestock page.
