Collapse ▲Thank you to all that participated in the annual Apple Recipe Contest – it was an amazing way to kick off the 75th Apple Festival in downtown Hendersonville.
In this year’s contest we had 4 categories; Breads, Pies/Pastries, Desserts (including cakes/cookies), and Kids. We had great participation with entries in all categories!
We would like to give a big THANK YOU to our volunteer judges – City of Hendersonville Mayor Barbara Volk, Henderson County Commissioner Rebecca McCall, N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Agent Jack Ruff, Bold Rock General Manager Mike King, Dara Hossley with Henderson County Tourism Development Authority, and Laresa M. Griffin with Blue Ridge Humane Society.
All of the prizes were generously donated by awesome local businesses – please make sure to visit these great supporters of N.C. Cooperative Extension in Henderson County.
