10:00 am – Innovative Business Models (IBM) – Traditionalbusiness models are wholesale, business to business and direct to consumer. Aninnovative business model revolutionizes how a company produces, sells, orsupports its products, often by creating a new value proposition for customersor new revenue streams for the business. Sales revenue (data driven andinteractive), subscription (recurring), commission (per purchase fees), adrevenue (paid to promote/click through) or even event focused businesses areall IBMs.

11:00 am – Soils and Soil Preparation – Soilsare the most important factor in any farming enterprise. Learn how to improvesoils for improved production.

12:00 pm – lunch and networking

12:30 pm – Disease and Insect Pests of Cut Flowers – Diseasesand insects can reduce profits. Learn which pests to look out for in yourflower crop.

1:30 pm – Biorational Pest Control Options – Old pesticidechemistries were persistent and bad for the environment. Many new chemistriesare based on biological sources or are not harmful to the environment. Learnwhich ‘birational pesticides’ are suitable for your farm.
