4-H Youth Development

Henderson County 4-H

Guided by core values of Head, Heart, Hands, and Health, 4-H focuses on STEM, agriculture, healthy living, and civic engagement, providing a safe, fun environment for youth to explore their interests and find their spark.

The 4-H Motto “MAKE THE BEST BETTER.”
The 4-H Mission: 4-H empowers youth to reach their full potential, working and learning in partnership with caring adults.
The 4-H Approach: “LEARN BY DOING” 4-H uses an experiential learning model, which means we “learn by doing” through hands-on experiences, whether it’s learning to build a robot, care for a horse, or photography.

4-H welcomes youth ages 5-18! Contact your local 4-H Office! Email: Hannah_peeler@ncsu.edu Phone: (828) 697-4891
