Let's Go Bananas!

Bananas are a fantastic healthy food option! The tasty yellow fruit contains lots of vitamins and minerals, including vitamins C and B6, fiber, magnesium, and potassium, which helps maintain a healthy fluid balance.

For a fun way to enjoy bananas, try this fun recipe that young chefs can help with, too!

Banana Pops

Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients:
  • 1 package (3.4oz) instant banana pudding mix
  • 2 cups skim milk
  • 1 banana, cut into pieces

Directions:
  1. Combine pudding mix and milk
  2. Add banana to pudding and blend evenly
  3. Spoon enough pudding mixture into small, paper cups to fill 2/3 full
  4. Tap cups lightly on counter (or table) to remove air pockets
  5. Insert plastic spoon or popsicle stick into center of each pudding cup
  6. Freeze until firm and enjoy!
