Wow, my favorite time of the year! People gathered together around a table full of dips, spreads and finger foods. Some people think of football when they think of the Super Bowl. Me? I think of these dips. Try some of the delicious dips this weekend to impress your guests with a tasty and nutritious spread!
Roasted Red Pepper Hummus
Ingredients
- 1 can bean (garbanzo, white beans, etc.)
- ¼ cup lemon juice
- 1 tablespoons of olive oil
- ½ cup tahini
- ½ - 1 cup roasted red peppers
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- optional: spices or olives for topping
Directions
- Combine all ingredients into a food processor or blender and blend until smooth, adding water to make smoother if needed.
- Garnish with spices and herbs and serve on a platter with veggies or crackers!
Yogurt Ranch Dip
Ingredients
- 1 cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt
- ¾ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon dried dill
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- optional: pinch of cayenne for spice, chives or dill for garnish
Directions:
1. In a medium bowl, stir together all ingredients.2. Garnish and serve with veggies, chips or as a dressing.
