Make Up Your Own Sundae Day

This week, we celebrated Make Up Your Own Sundae Day! However, most sundae ingredients are full of unhealthy sugar. Consumption of excess added sugar can cause issues such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, obesity, and more.

In order to celebrate in a healthier way, try this fun recipe that can be layered and arranged to look like a banana split!

 

Easy Fruit Salad


Yield: 10 servings

Ingredients:


  • 1 can (20oz) pineapple chunks in juice, drained
  • 2 small bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup strawberries, quartered
  • 8oz low-fat yogurt (vanilla or other flavor)

Directions:


  1. Mix fruits and yogurt together, as desired.
  2. Cover and chill until ready to serve.
