The NC Mountain State Fair is looking for amateur cooks and bakers of all skill levels to compete in its daily cooking contests happening September 11-20, 2026. Whether your specialty is cakes, casseroles, or another favorite dish, there's a contest for you!

Cash prizes are awarded every day and range from as much as $250 for 1st Place to $100 for 3rd Place.

The deadline to enter is August 14, 2026, so don't wait. Gather your favorite recipe and represent Henderson County at the NC Mountain State Fair!
