4-H presentations are a vital part of the 4-H program! Every 4-H member can profit in some way from preparing and presenting a presentation. 4-H'ers who have participated in 4-H presentations often recall that their experiences built communication skills, public speaking skills, poise, confidence, organizational skills, research skills, and thought expression. These too can be your experiences by participating in 4-H presentations!

County Activity Day
The first level of presentations will be Saturday, May 7 at Grace Lutheran Church in Henderson County. (Arrangements can be made for presenters unable to attend May 7). Participants ages 8-18 give presentations and judges award blue or red ribbons. Each participant will receive feedback from judges to prepare for District Activity Day, which every participant will have the option to pursue. Blue ribbon recipients earn a $20 dollar check and means they are ready for District, just keep practicing! Red ribbon recipients have put in good work, but something has been encouraged to change on the presentation before going to District, and of course, keep practicing!
District Activity Day:
West District Day, the second level tier, will be held Saturday, June 25 at AB Tech Community College in Buncombe County. Participants 8-18 who competed on the County level will have the opportunity to present at District and possibly continue on to the State 4-H presentation competition in Raleigh if they win in their category at District level.
State Congress:
4-H Presentations on the State level take place on NC State University Campus onSaturday, July 16. Presentations day is the first day of NC 4-H Congress! Click here if your teen is interested in 4-H Congress!
