To celebrate National 4-H Week, Henderson County 4-H is hosting a Galactic Quest program! 'Launch' into Fall with us for three weeks in October to learn about the mysteries and adventures of space exploration through engaging STEM activities!
What is Galactic Quest?
Galactic Quest is the 2021 4-H STEM Challenge designed by Clemson University. Each activity will explore important STEM topics including physics, engineering, computer science, and space agriculture. Youth ages 8-14 can participate.
Participants will work in teams to complete exciting, hands-on activities that explore space-related topics. Activities will include an interactive board game, building and using a telescope, engineering a functional mechanical arm used in agricultural practices, and a cyber security computer science program. Each meeting will be held at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Henderson County Center.
The dates for 2021 Galactic Quest are:
Monday, October 4 from 3:30–5:30 p.m.
Monday, October 11 from 4–5 p.m.
Monday, October 18 from 4–5 p.m.

Registration will close on September 13. The registration fee should be paid before the first Galactic Quest meeting by cash or check at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Henderson County Center.
