4-H FRESH Program 2023

Henderson County 4-H and the National Parks Service have joined forces again to co-sponsor the FRESH (Flat Rock's Exceptional Sandburg Helpers) Program for 2023!
FRESH participants will work one shift a week at Carl Sandburg's. On this shift, participants will learn about goat care and management, have daily chores, and interact with the public by discussing the history of Carl Sandburg and the importance of the Dairy Farm.
This is a 6-week long program that is open to youth ages 11-17. Participants will need to make it to one 4.5-hour long shift per week. They will also need to be enrolled in 4-HOnline and fill out an Application for the Program. Spaces are limited!
Participation in Orientations and Group Meetings is required for this program! Dates are listed below:
Required Program Dates:
- May 23rd - Parent/Guardian Orientation
- June 24th - Participant Program Orientation
- June 28th - 1st Group Meeting
- July 19th - 2nd Group Meeting
- August 9th - Last Group Meeting
