2026 Paraquat Training
- Paraquat training is currently available online. Applicators will need to register on the site, watch a 45-minute video presentation, and complete a quiz (final assessment). A certification of completion is awarded with a 100% quiz score (unlimited re-attempts allowed).

- March 12 – 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm – Integrated Pest Management of Plant Diseases (Credits L:2,O:2,D:2,X:2)
- April 23 – 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm – New and Emerging Pests in Nurseries including insect, diseases and weeds (Credits L:2,O:2,D:2,X:2)
- May 14 – 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm – Tree Pest Concerns Post Helene (Credits L:2, N:2, O:2, D:2,X:2)
- June 18– 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm – Pest Management in the Landscape (Credits L:2, N:2, O:2, D:2,X:2)
*Each class also approved for 2 L Landscape Contractor License credits
2026 Pesticide Schools and State-Wide Courses
- Pesticide Schools - To become certified as a Private Applicator, you will need to pass a closed-book exam based on the “N.C. Pesticide Applicator Certification Core Manual.”
- Course Calendar - This is to maintain your pesticide license. Private Applicators need to earn 2-X credits and 2-V credits by their recertification date, which happens every 3 years.
- Exam Calendar - If your pesticide license lapses or you are a first-time license holder who prefers not to attend a pesticide school, this is the exam-only option.

Structural Pest Control and Pesticides-Pesticide Exam Information
Exams will be administered by the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (NCDA&CS) on day two of the pesticide school starting at 1 p.m. Online Pesticide Exams are also available. For exam-related questions, please contact the NCDA&CS at 919-733-3556 or visit their webpage.

NCDA&CS Required Pesticide Certification & Training Standards Update
Attention All Pesticide License Holders
- If you passed your pesticide exam prior to July 1, 2025, you are at risk of losing your pesticide certification and license.
- You must complete the C&T Standards Update Training by your next recertification date.
- Failure to complete the required training will result in the loss of your pesticide certification!
