2022 Holly Spring Farm Field Day

Time: 4–6:30 p.m.
Cost: No Charge, but is limited to 30 participants, and registration is required. Pot luck to follow, so please bring a dish to share if you are interested.
We ask that everyone come dressed for outdoor weather and walking tour of the farm. Please arrive 10 mins early so we can start the tour promptly at 4pm.
Topics to be covered include:- Overview of practices at Holly Spring Farm: Hoop-house production, Season-long lettuce, and Early - and late- season tomato production- Dr. Paul Shoemaker
- Proper pruning techniques for different tomato types- Dr. Randy Gardner
- Salad greens food safety: Harvest & post-harvest practices- Elena Rogers
- Emergence of Gray leaf spot and Septoria leaf spot- Ella Reeves
- Trending produce packaging and market stand displays- Craig Mauney & Karen Blaedow
