Event: Invasive Plant ID and Removal Workshop

Location: Rugby Middle School; 3345 Haywood Road, Hendersonville, NC 28791; (meet by the educational signs and picnic table)

Please join Henderson County Soil and Water and N.C. Cooperative Extension of Henderson County at the Rugby Middle School stream restoration site to learn about invasive plants and how to properly remove those plants. Volunteers will have the opportunity to learn to identify and remove invasive plants within the riparian buffer of the stream. Experts will be on-site to provide assistance with identification and removal.

What to bring: Gloves, hand tools (shovel, pruner, mattock); wear boots, long pants, and long sleeves.
