When: Saturday, November 14

Where: Mountain Horticultural Crops Research & Extension Center
455 Research Drive, Mills River, NC 28759
Cost: $25 (includes lunch)
This year's conference will feature a new format designed to provide a deeper learning experience. Instead of attending several one-hour workshops, participants will select a three-hour learning track and spend the morning diving into one topic in greater depth.
Our goal is to provide meaningful, hands-on training that benefits both new volunteers looking to build confidence and experienced volunteers ready to strengthen their skills. For example, participants selecting the Target Shooting Sports Coordinator track will explore topics such as risk management, operation plans, evaluations, best practices, and effective techniques for working with youth, leaving with practical knowledge.
Tracks we are looking to include:
- Target Shooting Sports – Club Management & (abbreviated) Coordinator Training
- Hippology & Horse 4-H – Contest Preparation & Management
- STEM & Electricity – Projects and Programs for Summer Fun, Clubs, and Group Activities
We are open to more ideas! As we continue to develop this year's conference tracks, we would also greatly value your input! If there are topics, training, or workshop ideas you would like to see offered, please take a few moments to share your feedback. Your suggestions help us create training opportunities that best meet the needs of our volunteers and counties. Other suggestions are included in the registration/feedback form!
