The West District 4-H Volunteer Conference is open for registration!
This conference is for 4-H Agents, parents, leaders, and adults/older teens interested in learning about 4-H through fun workshops!
When: Saturday, October 28, 2023, 9:00 am - 4:30 pm
Where: The Mountain Horticulture Crops Research and Extension Center, Mills River, NC, 455 Research Drive, Mills River, NC 28759
What: Have you been wanting an opportunity to attend workshops? Or an interested parent to see what 4-H is about? This will be a great event for anyone to attend!!
We will go "Back to the Basics" together, learning about 4-H programs and applications in workshops, leaving with tools to utilize in your own counties and clubs, and hearing from a keynote speaker! A few of our workshops will include...
- Livestock Judging Program - Abby Whitaker, Livestock Agent
- WHEP and Forestry- Ranae Worrell, 4-H Club Leader
- 4-H Tech and Communications - Amanda Mohammed, WD VL President
- 4-H Ages and Stages - Nicki Carpenter, 4-H Agent
We will also have a special keynote speaker, Managing Director of Donor Ministries at the Light FM, Kelly Brandon. Kelly is a professional fundraiser, trainer, and volunteer manager with a special passion for helping nonprofits! She looks forward to speaking to 4-H!
