Henderson County Land Summit-January 22, 2026

(Updated: Jan. 20, 2026, 10:02 a.m.)
Are you unsure if you're a bonafide farm or if you qualify for present use value tax deferement? Are you interested in farmland preservation or putting your land in a conservation easement? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this half-day workshop will be helpful for planning your land's future.

NC State Extension and ASAP (Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project) are partnering to present a half-day workshop for landowners. With all of the changes in land ownership occurring across the state there are many impacts to people who own farm and forest land or who may purchase or inherit undeveloped property. This FREE workshop is intended to help both existing and potential landowners become more familiar with the legal, business, and regulatory concerns that go hand in hand with owning a farm and forestland. This event is free but registration is required and limited to 50 attendees. Please register at this link
