Allowing areas to grow up and become wild area creates habitat for birds and pollinators. Parks and golf courses are beginning to let more and more areas go natural to lower maintenance costs and improve habitat. It takes zero work!

Allowing all lawn areas to grow up is not necessary. Simply allow a few feet around the edge of a lawn area to go native and see how you like it. You can always mow the area in future. If you like the addition of wildlife habitat through no mow areas, expand a little each year until you reach a point you are comfortable with.

By allowing the edges of this field to go wild, acres of grass can be taken out of costly mowing.

Reducing that area that needs to be mowed can save municipalities thousands of dollars per year. Allowing areas to grow wild increases habitat for wildlife. A more natural landscape is environmentally friendly and beautiful.
