Are you an active senior who would like to socialize and enjoy engaging activities along with a hot meal? Join us at the Council on Aging at First United Methodist Church Monday through Friday for their community dining program. We are partnering with them to offer Bingocize twice a week in the morning before lunch is served.
Bingocize is a 10-week health promotion program that combines the game of bingo with inclusive exercises for everyone! This class meets twice a week from 10-11am, on Tuesday and Thursdays starting on May 6. See below for detailed class dates.
This class will be held in partnership with the Council on Aging Henderson County and will be held at their community dining site where they serve community meals which are prepared daily by Carolina Village and between 11:00 and 11:30 am.
The program provides an opportunity for you to socialize, participate in various activities, connect to resources available in the community, and enjoy a delicious and nutritious meal in fellowship with others. Registration for this program is required and you can call the Council on Aging office to register (828) 692-4203.
Membership is limited to all Henderson County residents who are 60 years of age or older. Individual contributions are highly encouraged and appreciated.
Members* are strongly encouraged to contribute a minimum of $5 towards the cost of their meal. If you don’t qualify for membership you must pay $10.
If someone is interested in participating in Bingocize at our program before registering to become a client with COA, it's required that they pay a visitor fee of $10 as they aren't under our program's funding. If they would like to become a client at the Community Dining program, they can call the Council on Aging office to schedule an appointment with their staff to complete the registration paperwork.
