2021 Pesticide Classes & Schools

 2021 Henderson County Pesticide Recertification Classes

  • Private Applicator “V” Training (On-line): This course will cover the two-hours of required pesticide safety information required to recertify a NC private applicator pesticide license. Webcam is required to ensure applicator is present during the presentations. Zoom software will need to be installed on computer or phone to view the class. A link to the on-line class will be emailed to registered attendees a day prior to the event. During the class have your pesticide license information handy, this information will be collected at the conclusion of the program via the chat box in order to receive credit.

Paraquat training is also currently available online at www.usparaquattraining.com.  Applicators will need to register on the site, watch a 45-minute video presentation, and complete a quiz (final assessment). A certification of completion is awarded with a 100% quiz score (unlimited re-attempts allowed).


Personal Protective Equipment Guidance for Pesticide Applicators during COVID-19

The NC Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services – Pesticide Section and NC Department of Labor – Agricultural Safety and Health Bureau have been working with the NC Agromedicine Institute to develop guidance for pesticide applicators & handlers regarding the use of PPE amidst COVID-19. The guidance is attached in English and Spanish.
