Don’t throw your Christmas tree away and holiday decorations away! Recycle and turn your trees and wreaths into nutritious mulch for your garden, plants, and veggies!

MountainTrue is proud to host its annual Holiday Recycling Event at Jackson Park on Saturday, January 9, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Area residents are invited to bring their Christmas trees, wreaths, broken string lights, and used greeting cards to be mulched and recycled.

Jackson Park, Ball Field #6, Hendersonville

Trees, wreaths, lights, and greeting cards should be brought on the day of January 9. Trees and wreaths should be stripped of all decorations and lights.

The mulcher has been provided by King Hardware & Rental and Hendersonville and Henderson County personnel will be on site to mulch the trees. Lights and cards will be recycled by the N.C. Cooperative Extension of Henderson County for the 4-H Project.
