Master Gardener℠ volunteers are provided many opportunities to attend advanced gardening classes and gardening events each year.
Master Gardener Volunteers

Master Gardener℠ volunteers in Henderson County donate their time to teach community members about gardening through volunteer garden projects, classes, and demonstrations.

The Henderson County initial Master Gardener℠ volunteer training runs January – April, one day a week on Wednesdays, 10 a.m.–2 p.m. (specifics to be announced). The cost of the class is $135 which includes a free online book (you can choose to buy a hardcover book for $45 or download a free digital copy). There are a few mandatory labs after the classes end as well.
