Virtual Tomato Field Day 2020

— Written By

TomatoesWelcome to the Virtual Tomato Field Day for 2020, presented by the Mountain Horticultural Crops Research and Extension Center in Mills River, NC. As everyone is likely aware, the current situation prohibits public activities that we normally look forward to at this time of year. But that has not diminished the efforts that have gone into the research taking place here at the Mountain Horticultural Crops Research and Extension Center, and it’s our hope that this “virtual” field day will give you some idea of the work that continues to go into the various tomato-related research projects. This year, typical tomato field day activities, such as plot tours, in-field presentations, displays, taste-tests, etc., could not take place. Instead, the project leaders for the various tomato-related programs, as well as food-safety training coordinators, have produced videos describing the work that they are involved in this year.

See our website to access the virtual field day videos. We look forward to the next Tomato Field Day when everyone can join us at the Mountain Horticultural Crops Research and Extension Center. Thank you.
