Incubating Quail Eggs: Days 8-9

— Written By

Four teachers returned their quail eggs and incubating supplies on Monday, March 16, 2020, the first days that schools were closed. July helped turn the eggs on this day, which was Day 8 for the embryos.

Volunteers from the Barnyard Bandits 4-H Club’s Poultry Group came to N.C. Cooperative Extension, Henderson County Center on March 17 to pick up the equipment and eggs. They plan to hatch them at home. This was Day 9 for the embryos.

Michael and Madilynn Miller, some of our 4-H members, show us how to candle eggs.

Note:  this is the continuation of the “Incubating Quail Eggs” Story.
