June Is Pollinator Month in Hendersonville

— Written By and last updated by

Recognizing the importance of bees, butterflies, moths and the many other creatures that pollinate the diversity of crops and ornamental plants, Hendersonville Bee City USA has designated June as Pollinator month. Events are planned throughout the month, many of them free, to help educate people about encouraging pollinators in the garden and celebrating the critical role these species play in our ecosystem. Among those activities is a free walk through the Pollinator Garden at Bullington Gardens on June 19, 2019. Drop by between 1 and 3 p.m. for an informal walk in which plants and some of the pollinators will be identified. The Pollinator Garden contains a mix of trees, shrubs, annuals, and perennials planted to provide nectar and food sources for pollinators including monarch butterflies. See a full list of events for Pollinator Month.

Check out the Bullington website for more events and programs.
