Contribute to the 4-H Endowment

Henderson County has a special endowment to help support the local 4-H program, called the Armstrong – Smith 4-H Endowment, located at the NC 4-H Development Fund in Raleigh. Currently 4-H is very close to reaching it’s overall $15,000 goal. Once that level is achieved the local 4-H organization will begin to get an annual contribution from the endowment fund. These funds are to be used in local 4-H programs, helping our Henderson County youth.

Interim County Extension Director, John Vining, who left at the end of May, donated $100 towards the fund and encourages others to join him. As John says “I personally knew both Joyce Armstrong and Earl Smith and I couldn’t think of a better gift to give than to their Armstrong – Smith 4-H Endowment. If only 24 supporters each donated $100 we would push Henderson County 4-H over the top.”

Between September and December 30, 2017, a donor will match funds donated to the Armstrong Smith Endowment! Your donations will go twice as far! We recognize not everyone can give $100. Every contribution, whether it is $10, $25 or even $50, will get our 4-H program closer to it’s endowment goal. Please send donations to Henderson County 4-H, 100 Jackson Park Rd., Hendersonville, NC 28792. In the memo line, write, “Armstrong Smith Endowment.” Contributions are tax deductible.
