4-H alumni tell us that developing public speaking skills in 4-H has helped them with school, jobs, and throughout their lives. Henderson County 4-H offers coaching to help youth develop and practice their presentations. Youth ages 5 – 18 as of January 1 are eligible to participate. Competition is for ages 9 – 18. Cloverbuds, youth ages 5 – 8, are encouraged to give presentations at the county and district levels on any topic that they choose. They will receive a small gift for participating. Click here for a sample 4-H presentation. Posters are available at the extension office to sign up for categories and age groups. Contact Denise for more information. Sign up by March 15.
